The series has been on air since 1987, premiering as a sister show to The Young and The Restless. After over two decades, The Bold and the Beautiful is midway through its 36th season but sadly, there will be no more episodes until 2023.
The Bold and the Beautiful, which has been back in production for more than two weeks, has set a date for its return on the air with all-new episodes, taped during the pandemic. The CBS soap will be back to originals on July 20.
According to the network, two of the first five episodes back (the installments airing Tuesday, July 21 and Wednesday, July 22) were actually shot pre-shutdown, while the episodes airing Monday, July 20, Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24 represent the first episodes shot post-shutdown (which is when the new industry-mandated safety protocols kicked in).
According to a statement provided to Fox News, CBS will feature old episodes focused on past stars in lieu of new episodes. It will also give viewers both behind-the-scenes footage and new commentary from the actors and actresses that make up the cast.
